Study finds rumble strips significantly cut crashes on Michigan highways

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) said Monday that a Wayne State University (WSU) study found that rumble strips on state highways significantly reduces head-on, sideswipe and run-off-the-road crashes. Detroit chamber unveils principles to address infrastructure needs

The Detroit Regional Chamber has called on Gov. Rick Snyder and the state Legislature to develop a solution to fund the state's infrastructure needs by releasing a list of principles on Tuesday. This announcement follows the failure of Proposal 1, which would have generated more transportation funding through a fuel tax increase and other tax hikes.
