Lake Havasu City, Arizona, public forum on transportation plan July 23

The Lake Havasu Metropolitan Planning Organization in Arizona said late last week that it will hold a public information meeting on Thursday, July 23, during which the group will share updated information and ask the public for input about the first Regional Transportation Plan for Lake Havasu City.

The meeting will be hosted by the Lake Havasu City Police Department 4-6 p.m. in its Facility Meeting Room at 2360 McCulloch Blvd. North. The meeting will include a brief presentation about the plan.

The Regional Transportation Plan is designed to support local and regional growth, encourage community livability and economic vitality, offer alternative commuting options and enhance freight movement. The plan is considered a crucial tool in managing the area’s growing mobility.

The meeting is part two in a series of three. Representatives from the study team are requesting that community members attend the meeting with input ready to be shared, specifically about the kinds of transportation improvements that they see as most necessary for the community’s future momentum.
