Amway chooses Amber Road to improve its business

Amway, one of the biggest direct-selling businesses in the world, recently chose Amber Road, a top supplier of global trade management (GTM) solutions, to improve the visibility of its air and ocean shipments.

Amway will use the Supply Chain Visibility tool from Amber Road to improve visibility of its ocean and air shipments. The tool also will help Amway increase the reliability of its supply chain data.

Based in Ada, Michigan, Amway sells a wide range of products, including beauty, health and home care items. The privately held business is worth $10.8 billion. It has operations in more than 100 countries and territories; and there are millions of Amway sales representatives and 20,000 employees around the world.

“We selected Amber Road because of the flexibility and customizability of its Web-based solution,” David Kahn, Amway sourcing manager, said. “In addition, the architecture platform of Amber Road’s solution suite allows Amway to easily integrate additional modules of Amber Road’s suite, such as its Trade Automation solution.”

Direct Selling News 2015 Global 100 lists Amway as the top direct-selling business worldwide.

“As a global leader in direct selling, Amway recognizes the need to maintain high customer service levels and a predictable and efficient supply chain,” Stephanie Miles, senior vice president of commercial services at Amber Road, said. “We look forward to assisting Amway in these areas."
