Iowa Transportation Commission to discuss program funding at meeting

The Iowa Transportation Commission will hold its next meeting on Tuesday in Ames, Iowa.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss a variety of topics pertinent to the local Iowa area. The discussions will not result in any action being taken by the staff or representatives.

There will many attendees at the meeting, including Jennifer Anderson, the commission's secretary; Stuart Anderson, the Planning, Programming and Modal Division director; Deb Arp, from the Office of Systems Planning; and Craig Markley, director of the Office of Systems Planning.

Topics include funding recommendations for Iowa’s Clean Air Attainment Program, Statewide Transportation Alternatives Program and Federal Recreational Trails Program. The commission also will discuss Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy (RISE) policies.

The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. in the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) headquarters in the Materials Conference Room, 800 Lincoln Way.
