Local governments receive over $83.5 million from Wisconsin DOT

According to a recent announcement from Scott Walker, the Governor of Wisconsin, local government leaders have received a total of more than $83.5 million in payments from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) for Expressway Policing Aids, Connecting Highway Aids, and General Transportation Aids A total of 1,924 local governments received the finances. Wisconsin airport to upgrade two runways, expand terminal

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker recently authorized nearly $1 million to expand the terminal building and rehabilitate two runways at Batten International Airport in Racine. Gayle Stearn, airport development engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the expanded terminal will include the addition of a General Aviation Facility (GAF) for customs agents to inspect international passengers, cargo and crew.
