The American Road & Transportation Builders Association’s (ARTBA) safety training program has been in high demand this past year.
ARTBA’s reputation for professional safety and health training for the transportation and construction industries has been growing over the last 20 years.
However, in 2015, the various programs have experienced even higher demand, increasing by 35 percent, with more than 3,000 new participants involved in the training program.
“The demand for our classes has shown continual growth over the years, but this year was remarkable,” Bradley Sant, ARTBA’s senior vice president for safety and education, said.
This year, the staff at ARTBA has offered courses to more than 8,500 professionals in the industry. These classes were taught by recognized training consultants. The training covers a number of safety issues as well as hazards that happen in roadway construction projects.
“I wanted to thank you once again for bringing the Roadway Safety+ course to Mississippi for several MDOT maintenance supervisors, safety officers and engineers,” Cookie Leffler, safety director for the Mississippi Department of Transportation and customer of ARTBA-TDF, wrote. “We have received nothing but positive feedback. The material and resources were found to be outstanding and have already been put to good use in our districts statewide.”
