The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has released a list of four companies that have been shortlisted for consideration in the design, build and partial finance of the GDOT’s Interstate 285 and State Route 400 Reconstruction Project.
This project is the state’s highest priority for infrastructure improvement. The department released a list of finalists for the project’s bid, and those companies have been invited into the second phase of the design-build-frame and public-private partnership procurement. In alphabetical order, the finalists are AWH Roadbuilders LLC; Dragados-Flatiron-Prince JV; North Perimeter Contractors; and Skanska/Balfour Beatty.
GDOT is seeking private-sector partners to help design and construct the project, in addition to funding up to $650 million of the overall $1.056 billion project cost.
The department is expected to choose the “best value” in December, with the project beginning in 2016 and finishing in 2019.
