The Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) will hold a public meeting Feb. 26, to discuss proposed improvements to the I-80 and U.S. 65 interchange in Polk County.
The project involves reconstructing eastbound lanes and the ramps at the I-80/U.S. 65 Hubbell Avenue interchange in Altoona.
Through-traffic on I-80 will be maintained during construction with closures only on the eastbound exit and entrance ramp at the Altoona interchange.
IDOT is seeking suggestions and opinions on the matter at the meeting at 5 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Holiday Inn Express at 165 N.E. Adventureland Drive in Altoona. The meeting will be in open-forum format. IDOT officials will be present to answer any questions and inform the public of the proposed improvements.
Anyone who plans to attend and requires special accommodations should notify the IDOT by Feb. 23.
