Quester Tangent, a North American supplier of train electronics and software solutions for the rail transit industry, said on Tuesday it reached a global framework agreement with Alstom Transport.
“This agreement further strengthens our partnership with Alstom, and confirms Quester Tangent’s position as a strategic supplier in their global supply chain,” Questar Tangent Director of Sales and Marketing Dan Cumming said.
The agreement will feature collaboration in electronic solutions and services for rail transit bids. Through the agreement, Quester Tangent will enable Alstom to gain from advanced manufacturing and design technologies for railway projects throughout the world.
The long-term agreement is a big step in the companies’ strategic partnership that includes several successful projects. The previous projects include delivery of electronic systems and integration for fleet operators such as Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Port Authority Transit Corporation and Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.
Alstom is a global leader in power generation, power transmission and rail infrastructure. It builds the fastest train and the highest capacity automated metro in the world.
Quester Tangent's portfolio of technology products for the rail transportation industry includes TrainWise, flexible on-board train and locomotive electronics; TestWise, test equipment products; and FleetWise, wayside software.
