Pennsylvania residents invited to participate in online transportation meeting

As a part of the update to Pennsylvania’s Twelve Year Transportation Program, Pennsylvanians are invited to visit www.TalkPATransportation.com to offer input on their transportation priorities by registering for an interactive online public meeting on April 16.

"In the past, we gathered feedback for our long-term planning through public meetings that our customers couldn't always attend," Acting Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary and STC Chairwoman Leslie S. Richards said. "The modernized process we started a few years ago lets the public share their priorities and comments with us at their convenience, which ensures we have more comprehensive feedback as we begin developing our plan."

The transportation program serves as a blueprint for prioritized transportation projects and is updated every two years through a joint effort between the State Transportation Commission, Pennsylvania DOT and its 24 regional planning partners.

The online April 16 public meeting will be from 7 to 8 p.m. During the live webcasted meeting, Richards will give an update on the state’s transportation performance report and the public comment period. There will also be a question-and-answer time, with questions submitted before and during the meeting.

Pennsylvanians must register to participate in the webcast. Questions may be submitted in advance at ra-penndotstc@pa.gov.
