In a unique pay scale system overhaul, Hill Brothers Transportation has initiated a new compensation package for its over-the-road/national drivers as of April 1.
According to company President Al Hill, the firm has “listened to our drivers' needs and…decided to create a new pay scale that gives them a sizable upgrade in earnings. By doing this it allows us to put more money back in their pockets. Today's announcement reinforces our commitment to our drivers and customers."
The reimbursement system for the company, which is based in Omaha, Nebraska, will now offer drivers up to 54 cents per mile, including Hazmat and bonuses; and will also remunerate employees based on the length of their haul.
According to the company, the pay increase is accompanied by other incentives for their drivers, including medical, dental and life insurance for both solo and team drivers, as well as a $1,000 referral bonus option.
With their truckload service area centered in the Midwest, Hill Brothers Transportation maintains a fleet of 350 tractors and 1,000 trailers. The company operates terminals or drop facilities in Commerce City, Colorado; Dallas; Kansas City, Kansas; Bolingbrook, Illinois; Omaha, Nebraska; Des Moines, Iowa; Lincoln, Nebraska; and Calhoun, Georgia.
