The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) received six of the 12 first-place awards available at the Idaho Press Club’s “Best of 2014” ceremony held Saturday night in Boise.
The department’s communications office was recognized by the media and peers for feature writing, internal newsletter, public service campaign, general excellence website, special-purpose website, and online-only video program in public affairs. Its record 12 awards in 2014 brings to 42 the number of Idaho Press Club awards the office has earned in the past five years.
“We have a dedicated team of professionals who ensure our citizens have meaningful opportunities to give input and receive information about the transportation issues that affect their lives,” ITD communications office member Mollie McCarty said.
