New Jersey Assembly Budget Officer Declan O’Scanlon (R-Monmouth) said Monday it is time put politics aside and find an acceptable solution for maintaining the state’s transportation infrastructure.
After listening to testimony from Transportation Commissioner Jamie Fox, O’Scanlon said the transportation infrastructure is critical to the Garden State’s economy and way of life.
He also said costs must be considered as the state moves to fund its transportation needs.
“The public needs to understand that their money is being spent prudently,” O’Scanlon said. “We owe it to taxpayers to exhaust every cost-saving option and maximize the value of every dollar expended.”
