The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) congratulated Greg Nadeau, its deputy administrator, on Monday after he was nominated to become administrator of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
AASHTO Executive Director Bud Wright said President Obama made an excellent choice in nominating Nadeau, a former Department of Transportation executive and "a longtime transportation leader."
"Not only has Greg served as the acting FHWA administrator with distinction, he has been the energy and vision behind the innovative Every Day Counts program,” Wright said. "AASHTO looks forward to a speedy confirmation because the FHWA needs a strong leader to address the significant issues facing today’s transportation industry.”
