ASF Intermodal has surpassed the 400 truck milestone after only four years of being in operation.
The company employs approximately 80 employees at its 11 terminals and corporate office. It provides domestic and intermodal shipping services to the Southeast and Midwest regions of the U.S.
“The growth we’re experiencing is positive in every way," ASF President Michael Smith said. "We are continuing to create jobs and grow our customer base. We are experiencing growth across all of our existing locations, and we are planning to expand into other markets in the second half of 2015. We just purchased an additional 30 chassis, which are present in our port locations.”
The company started in Alabama and has expanded to include terminals in Texas, Illinois, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia, in addition to the Mobile, Alabama corporate office.
Smith said the company has grown significantly due to the hard work of the employees, management and drivers, and the increased demand for products to be shipped from the West Coast to the East Coast.
“Together, our employees and drivers are one of the most amazing teams I have worked with," Smith said. "I am honored to work with such a great group of individuals and am excited that our growth is allowing us to bring additional drivers to the team. We are actively recruiting drivers at all of our terminals.”
