The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) said Wednesday that it will hold its second annual National Workshop for State & Local Transportation Advocates on July 15 in Washington, D.C.
Attendees will explore the impact of the nearly 40-state transportation measures that have been introduced this year and their potential impact on congressional action on the Highway Trust Fund.
The workshop will be hosted by the Transportation Investment Advocacy Center (TIAC) and held in conjunction with ARTBA’s Public-Private Partnerships (P3) Conference. It also will feature a discussion about some of the lessons learned from the 14 states that have raised their state gas tax in the past three years. And in an interactive session, attendees will break into small groups to discuss their campaign challenges and share best practices about overcoming them.
In addition to addressing the increase in legislative measures, ARTBA Chief Economist Alison Premo Black will provide an overview of proposed ballot initiatives.
The workshop’s full agenda and registration information is available at www.transportationinvestment.org.
