The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) announced the approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in the state on Monday.
They are as follows:
District One – Northeast: Jefferson - 4-44 KA-3145-01 - K-4 and 46th Street, intersection improvement, 0.5 mile, Hamm, Inc., Perry, Kansas, $1,746,061.51
District Two – North Central: Ellsworth - 140-27 KA-3090-01 - Bridge No. 043 (Smoky Hill River Drainage) on K-140, 1.12 miles east of the K-140/K-156 junction, bridge replacement, Reece Construction Company, Inc., Scandia, Kansas, $325,839.95; McPherson - 153S-59 KA-4005-01 - Bridge No.105 on K-153, 0.83 mile northwest of the K-153/K-61 junction, bridge repair, PBX Corporation & Subsidiary, Sapulpa, Oklahoma, $68,747.60; Statewide - 70-106 KA-4151-01 - Interstate 70 in Dickinson County, I-70 rest areas in Geary County, U.S. 24 in Mitchell County, and U.S. 36 in Jewell and Republic counties, milling, 43.4 miles, Surface Preparation Technologies LLC, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, $78,972.00.
District Four – Southeast: Franklin - 68-30 KA-4150-01 - K-68, 500 feet east of Nevada Terrace to intersection of K-33 at end of concrete, pavement marking, 6.6 miles, Twin Traffic Marking Corporation, Kansas City, Kansas, $202,639.20.
District Five - South Central: Sedgwick - 81-87 KA-3074-01 - U.S. 81 and 79th Street, install traffic signals and construct left turn lanes, traffic signals, 0.0 mile, APAC Kansas, Inc. Shears Division, Hutchinson, Kansas, $947,821.91; Sumner - 160-96 KA-4007-01 - Five bridges on U.S. 160: bridge Nos. 055 and 056, located 3.77 and 5.76 miles, respectively, east of the Sumner/Harper county line; bridge No. 059, 1 mile east of the west U.S.160/K-49 junction; bridge No. 069, 2.01 miles east of U.S.160/U.S. 81 junction; and bridge No. 072, 0.67 mile west of the Sumner/Cowley county line, bridge repair, 0.0 mile, PBX Corporation & Subsidiary, Sapulpa, Oklahoma, $100,522.54.
