GE Capital Transportation Finance launched a new fuel-card services program on Monday that is specially tailored to over-the-road trucking (OTR) companies and fleets.
The new card program will be accepted at many of the truck stops across the U.S. WEX, Inc., a top provider of corporate payment solutions, based in South Portland, Maine, will administer the program.
WEX Bank will offer the Fleet One OTR Fuel Card to certain GE Capital Transportation Finance customers, who will receive potential cost savings on maintenance, fuel, and other expenses of the fleet. They also will have industry-leading reporting and security, which were developed to help leaders in the trucking industry grow and manage their businesses.
“We believe our customers will benefit from the rebates on fuel expenses, as well as increased access to data that may not be available to small and mid-market operators today,” John Conkin, senior vice president of sales with GE Capital Transportation Finance, said. “Operators can use the Fleet One OTR Fuel Card as an alternative to standard debit or credit cards, which will allow them to manage driver spending and simplify line-item reporting.”
“Through the new addition of the co-branded Fleet One OTR Fuel Card program, qualified customers of GE Capital Transportation Finance can now enjoy enhanced security, detailed reporting with Level III data capture and added control to help minimize unauthorized spending,” Brian Fournier, vice president of fleet partner channels at WEX, said.
