Trucking Moves America Forward receives $50k gift

Trucking Moves America Forward (TMAF), the educational initiative that aims to enlighten the public about the importance of the industry, is set to receive $50,000 from the Tennessee Trucking Foundation (TTF) over the next five years.

TMAF will use that money to continue building stronger trucking industry relations with the public by using marketing and public relations tools to support companies while advocating for highway and infrastructure funding. The Tennessee Trucking Foundation thinks that’s a worthwhile cause, with hopes that its success will benefit the whole industry.

"Our nation's economy runs on freight hauled by the dedicated and hard-working men and women who travel our highways and roads delivering America's goods,” TTF President Tommy Hodges said. “We are pleased that our contribution will help spread the critical message of safety and highlight how essential trucking is to our way of life."

TMAF previously has received contributions from the American Trucking Associations, Allied Committee for the Trucking Industry, Old Dominion Freight Lines, Great West Casualty Company, Pilot Flying J and other industry interests.
