National Airlines awarded FAA Diamond Award

National Airlines announced Friday that it has received The Diamond Award of Excellence from the Federal Aviation Administration's Safety Team.

Airline Director of Maintenance Steve Santangelo said both the employees under his tutelage and the company were dedicated to providing quality training in areas of maintenance leading to the airline meeting the award requirements.

The award recognizes excellence in maintenance training and quality assurance and it is an award that is highly coveted by airlines in the U.S.
"Flight safety remains our first and most important mission," National Airline President Ed Davidson said. "I am proud to be leading an organization composed of maintenance and operations professionals who have shown their commitment to that goal."

National Airlines is based in Orlando, Florida, and offers both international cargo and passenger transportation. It has served a diverse collection of passengers that includes domestic and international sports clubs, members of the U.S. Armed Forces, diplomats, orchestras and many others. The airline has quality centers in Germany, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the announcement, this is the fourth time in the previous five years that National Airlines has received this award.
