DHL Global Forward, the ocean and air freight specialist that is part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, recently launched its new Trans Border Connect Less Than Truckload (LTL) service between the United States and Mexico.
Trans Border Connect, which is one part of the domestic freight services of the DHL, is a bundle that provides line-haul transport, cross-dock, pickup transport, border crossing, delivery components, and border expertise and brokerage between the U.S. and Mexico for one quote.
The service initially will be offered in five strategic markets in the U.S. Shipments are accessible within the U.S. in Dallas-Fort-Worth (Texas), Atlanta (Georgia), Los Angeles (California), Detroit (Michigan), and Chicago (Illinois). Mexico shipments are approved for Queretaro, Guadalajara, San Luis Potosi and Mexico City.
“Our new service offers customers who already do business in Mexico, or want to break into this market, the opportunity to have their goods picked up any day of the week via this new road freight solution,” Tim Robertson, vice president of sales for DHL Global Forwarding in the U.S., said. “With Trans Border Connect, DHL offers lower supply chain costs and simplifies billing, as well as end-to-end shipment visibility and provides a single point of contact monitored by experts in its centralized control tower in Laredo, Texas.”
