Cubic to present on big data future

Cubic Transportation Systems, a business branch of Cubic Corp., recently announced that a representative of the company will participate in a panel about big data’s future at the Intelligent Transportation Society of America Seattle Symposium.

The presenter will be Phil Silver, the company’s director of business developments at its Urban Insights Associates subsidiary. The panel discussion, titled “Data Gathering, Data Usage, Data Sharing,” will be hosted in Seattle July 16-17. The overall theme of the event is “Building a Smart, Diverse and Shared Travel Network.”

Urban Insights is Cubic’s consultancy firm that specializes in using big data tools as well as data analytic science technologies to discover insights as well as solve challenges caused by congestion, urbanization and mobility. These factors are considered the main problems of “smart cities.”
