Hallcon acquires Loop Transportation

Loop Transportation, Inc. and SFO Shuttle, Inc., which operate together as Loop, announced Monday that both companies have been acquired by Hallcon Corp.

Loop, headquartered in San Francisco, has the eighth largest private bus fleet in the U.S. It also offers private employee commuter bus services to companies that include Facebook, Google, LinkedIn and Apple. Additionally, Loop runs airport shuttles to Oakland International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.

The deal will allow Loop, which has been family-owned for 40 years, to expand its transportation commuter bus services throughout the US.

The Bay Area’s commuter transportation industry has expanded by 87 percent during the past three years. Experts have estimated that the growth will continue for the foreseeable future.

"Loop is delighted to be joining forces with the Hallcon team," Loop CEO Jeff Lenoudakis. "This partnership will allow Loop to leverage Hallcon's financial and operating strength to more effectively grow employee transportation solutions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond."

Hallcon, which has corporate offices in Lenexa, Kansas, and Toronto, Ontario, provides outsourced solutions for rail, oil and gas, mining and airline employee transportation.

"We are bringing together two great companies, each with outstanding records of best-in-class service in their respective markets, creating a stronger and more strategic North American transportation services company,” Hallcon CEO Tony Plut said.
