The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), a not-for-profit research group for the trucking industry, recently launched a new survey to gauge the industry’s main concerns.
The Top Industry Issues Survey is commissioned annually by the American Trucking Associations (ATA). This is the 11th consecutive year that the survey has been conducted. Every year, there are more stakeholders who participate in the survey.
ATA is continuously conducting critical research about freight transportation’s role. Its main area of focus is maintaining secure, safe and efficient transportation systems.
The survey requests that industry stakeholders prioritize their concerns for their industry. They also must suggest strategies that could potentially address the issues they name. The survey is available online at
http://atri-online.org.
"In complex times like this, it is critical that we do our part to help ensure a thriving future for the trucking industry," Duane Long, ATA's chairman of logistics, said. "With your participation, we can speak with a collective industry voice on the issues most important to us."
The survey results will be presented at the ATA Annual Management Conference and Exhibition in Philadelphia Oct. 17-20.
