Union Pacific Railroad said Wednesday it was selected one of the Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles for 2015
by The National Business Group on Health.
The award recognized Union Pacific at the gold level for making environmental and cultural changes as well as creating comprehensive programs in support of their employees achieving healthy lifestyle goals.
Union Pacific was the only railroad company among the 64 U.S. employers that received the award this year. This is the 11th year that
Union Pacific
has earned the award.
Union Pacific's wellness programs assess and offer intervention support for various health risk factors such as blood pressure, asthma, depression, cholesterol, fatigue, diabetes, nutrition, inactivity, stress, weight, and smoking.
