American Airlines Group recently announced the figures from September of this year as well as the results from its year-to-date traffic; the group’s sum revenue passenger miles (RPMs) amounts to 18.1 billion, which is an increase of 7.2 percent when compared to September of last year, and the airline’s sum capacity amounts to 21.9 billion available seat miles (ASMs), which shows a rise of 3.7 percent compared to Sept. 2014.
The group’s sum passenger load factor stands at 82.7 percent. This figure shows an increase of 2.7 percent when it is compared to September of last year.
All of these figures made records for the company’s traffic, capacity and load factor for September.
The group estimates that its consolidated passenger revenue for available seat mile (PRASM) for the third quarter of 2015 will show a decline of approximately six or eight percent year over year. Additionally, America Airlines Group estimates that the pretax margin from its third quarter will amount to 17 or 18 percent, without special items.
