The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will hold a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Aurora Subdistrict facility, 10995 Marsh Road.
The goal of the job fair is to find snow plow operators for several seasonal positions that are open for people who have their CDL licenses. These operators would be working throughout the coming winter months.
A drug test is required of the applicants. All interested applicants must bring their resume, current CDL license, and a high school diploma or its equivalent.
The candidates for the position will be interviewed by INDOT. They will need to make a state employment profile at the job fair. They can also make their state employment profile before the event by going to www.in.gov/spd.
Applicants who are accepted can choose between a 37-hour work week or a full-time schedule from November to March. They will be placed on an on-call status list throughout the winter months. INDOT will dispatch the plow operators from a unit location based in Penntown, Aurora, Versailles, Aberdeen or Brookville.
