The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will close or restrict certain portions of I-465 and I-65 starting Thursday and continuing through the weekend.
On Nov. 19 at 9 p.m, the ramp for eastbound I-465 through southbound I-65 will be closed until Nov. 20 at 6 a.m. The crews need to make pavement repairs and saw-cut portions of the road in order to finish the project over the weekend.
On November 20 at 9 p.m., the crews will close the ramp again in order to make additional concrete pavement repairs. The closure is scheduled to last throughout the weekend, with the ramp opening on Nov. 23 at 6 a.m.
While the ramp is closed, traffic will be sent on a detour using northbound I-65 and then Raymond Street, or Exit 109, to regain access to southbound I-65.
Westbound I-465, which includes I-65 and Emerson Avenue, also needs to be restricted. This closure started on Tuesday and will continue each night until the project is completed on November 20 at 6 a.m.
Northbound I-65, close to I-465, must also be closed in order to complete noise wall construction. This requires restricting the right lane each night beginning at 9 p.m. and ending at 6 a.m.
