Lane closures scheduled to December for SR 347 in Pinal County

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will be working on sidewalk construction and will need to close State Route 238 and Cobblestone Farms Drive in Pinal County.

The closures, which extend from SR 347 to SR 238 and Cobblestone Farms Dr., started Sunday and will end Wednesday. From Sunday to Tuesday, the right lane will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Wednesday, the right lane will be closed from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The crews are working to build sidewalks across a .85 mile portion of the west side of SR 347’s southbound lane. This section extends from milepost 174.6 to 175.4.

The purpose of the project is to install safety rails, retaining walls, riprap, earthwork, irrigation replacement, sign relocations and landscaping. The entire project will cost an estimated $475,922.23. ADOT officials expect the entire project to be finished by early 2016.

There will not be any construction over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, from Thursday to Sunday. This will give the crews a holiday and also keep the lanes open for holiday traffic. The crews will resume work from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4.
