Crews with the Arizona Department of Transportation reopened one westbound lane of Interstate 10 in Casa Grande at State Route 287 (Florence Boulevard) this week, while eastbound I-10 lanes remain closed.
I-10 westbound and eastbound lanes under construction are located at Florence Boulevard/State Route 287. One of the westbound I-10 lanes will remain closed while ADOT fixes damage from a vehicle crash. ADOT recommends that drivers use detours because of significant delays.
The eastbound lanes will continue to be closed approximately one mile past Sunland Gin Road, or Interstate 8. Because of this, drivers will need to follow detours and directions that will guide them around the entrance and exit ramps that are closed.
As of today, ADOT has not released a timetable for when the eastbound lanes of I-10 will be reopened.
When the project is complete, the infrastructure in the area will be more accessible to local residents, as well as travelers from out of town.
