The American Trucking Associations' (ATA) Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) will celebrate its 60th anniversary at its Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition, Feb. 29 to March 3 in Nashville.
The meeting will emphasize the most important trends that are currently changing the face of the trucking industry and its productivity.
“It’s important for us to mark this milestone in the council’s history,” Carl Kirk, ATA vice president of maintenance, information technology and logistics and TMC executive director, said. “Much of what the industry knows in the way of best practices, and reliable and safe equipment, can be traced to the efforts of specialists on the original equipment and aftermarket side and equipment-maintenance professionals working together in partnership at TMC.”
This will be the first major truck exhibition of 2016. There will be over 400 exhibitors displaying their latest developments for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, safety technology, alternative-fuel vehicles and information technology.
The event also will feature educational opportunities, courtesy of TMC, including several study-group technical sessions on zero-waste maintenance and LEAN problem solving, among other topics.
“TMC annually delivers the best in continuing education, emphasizing the importance of good maintenance practices and development,” Kirk said. “Anyone – from the CEO to the first-year technician – can and does benefit from the TMC experience.”
