Two third-party logistics (3PL) veterans recently established a new company called Allport Cargo Services USA.

The new company is the result of a partnership between John Lau, who also founded and is chairman of the Cargo Services Group, based in Hong Kong, with operations in Europe, Asia, South Africa and the Middle East, and Bill Aldridge, another 3PL veteran.

Allport Cargo Services USA's headquarters will be in Bloomfield, New Jersey.

The company delivers shipments for brokers, airlines, freight forwarders, government departments, charity and relief organizations, the oil and automotive industry, and general sales agents. All of these industries and individuals depend on cargo charters to help them successfully operate their businesses.

“We believe the combination of Cargo Services' extensive presence and proven origin-management expertise, partnered with our team’s decades of best-in-class operating experience, makes for a unique and compelling value proposition for clients across all verticals in North America, particularly the retail sector,” Aldridge said.
