The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said late last week that it will launch its Rapid Bridge Replacement Project later this year to replace 10 bridges across the state, five in 2016.
Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP) has been chosen as the project contractor for all of the bridge replacements.
PWKP will host a public meeting 4-6 p.m. on Thursday to provide details about the project. The meeting will be held at the Borough Maintenance Building at 48 Damascus Street, in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. After the presentations, PennDOT officials and construction team members will answer any questions from the general public.
The bridges that need replaced include SR 6 over Dingmans Run, SR 449 over Buckseller Run, SR 44 over Little Kettle Creek, SR 44 crossing Clara Creek, SR 404 over Fishing Creek and SR 2002 over Lyman Run.
People who cannot attend the meeting, but would still like to ask questions can call the PennDOT hot line at 877-444-9990. If there are still questions and concerns after visiting the main website, the public is asked to email info@parapidbridges.com.
