Officials with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) recently invited the general public to attend a meeting about planned bridge-replacement projects in McKean County, part of the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

The meeting will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Foster Township Municipal Building, 1185 East Main Street in Bradford, Pennsylvania.

The agency intends to replace 17 bridges in McKean County in the next two years as part of a collaboration between PennDOT and the projects' contractor, Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP). The goal of the overall statewide project is to fund, design, construct and sustain Pennsylvania’s bridges for the next 25 years.

This public meeting will focus on the three bridges scheduled to be replaced in 2017. One is located on SR 646 (Olean Road) above Pennbrook Run, and the other two are located on SR 346 (Derrick Road) above Foster Brook.

The meeting will give people an opportunity to learn further details about the project.

The meeting will include a short presentation that will include details about the project. There will be PennDOT officials and construction-team leaders on hand to answer any inquiries from the public about the project, including detour routes and other details.
