Officials at the Iowa Department of Transportation, as well as the Iowa State Patrol, have opened Interstate 35, both the north and southbound lanes, between Ames, Clear Lake and Mason City.
The road had been temporarily closed because of blowing snow that made the road too dangerous for travel.
