ARTBA foundation to hold Project Management Academy session this month

The Transportation Development Foundation (TDF), part of the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA), will hold a session of its Project Management Academy March 29-30 at the General Contractors Association’s New York City headquarters to allow new and potential leaders to improve how they manage projects at their company.

Having good management skills in the competitive transportation construction market is an important part of success. It is crucial to have a qualified team that is efficient in minimizing the delivery time of projects while making a profit.

The interactive atmosphere includes a variety of topics that will include presentations from several leaders.

Chris Brasco, a senior partner at Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald LLP, will discuss construction documentation.

Lorraine D’Angelo, founder and president of LDA Compliance Consulting, will talk about business ethics.

Rich Feyerabend, a corporate manager and consultant, will speak on management and leadership on the job.

Robinson Vasquez, ARTBA’s safety training and business development specialist, will talk about the economics of safety.

Howard Jacabowitz, a partner at Voute, Lohrfink, Magro and McAndrew LLP, will speak about construction contract clauses.

Joan McDonald, a principal at JMM Strategic Solutions and a former commissioner of the New York State Department of Transportation, will talk about client relations.
