California Department of Transportation issued the following announcement on Aug. 22.
Transportation representatives from Caltrans and the San Diego Association of Governments, as well as state and local elected officials and other regional leaders gathered for a press conference to educate the public about the current and future highway and transit projects in the San Diego region that were made possible with funds from Senate Bill 1 (SB 1), the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017.
In this Caltrans News Flash, local and state elected officials highlight some of San Diego's SB 1 projects and the bill's impact across the state.

Half of SB 1's funding goes to the state, which has already begun making critical improvements to highways throughout California.
