Arizona Department of Transportation issued the following announcement on Dec. 31.
Interstate 10 eastbound has reopened but the westbound lanes remain closed near 35th Avenue due to a police incident, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
There is no estimated time for reopening the westbound lanes. It is expected to be an extended closure. Drivers should use alternate routes or delay travel.
Real-time highway conditions are available on ADOT’s Arizona Traveler Information site at az511.gov, by calling 511 and through ADOT’s Twitter feed, @ArizonaDOT.
