CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION: Nighttime Pavement Markings on Various State Roadways in Fairfield and New Haven Counties

Connecticut Department of Transportation issued the following announcement on March 23.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime pavement-marking project will be performed on various state roadways in Fairfield and New Haven Counties beginning March 29, 2020.

The project consists of epoxy resin pavement marking applications on various state roadways in Fairfield and New Haven Counties. This project is scheduled to occur the evening of Sunday, March 29, 2020 to the morning of Friday, May 1, 2020.

No work will occur from 5:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2020 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2020.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

The work will be performed utilizing a moving operation with intermittent closures of lanes to complete this work. Please use caution around this operation as these vehicles will be moving slower than posted speeds. The regular work schedule for this project is on 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday - Thursday evenings).

This work will take place in the following towns: Branford, Bridgeport, Darien, East Haven, Fairfield, Greenwich, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, Milford, New Canaan, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Norwalk, Orange, Shelton, Stamford, Stratford, Wallingford, West Haven, Weston, Westport and Wilton.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule might become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
