MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION: Traffic Advisory: Temporary lane closure planned on Interstate 55 in Madison County

Mississippi Department of Transportation issued the following announcement on May 4.

WHO: The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

WHAT: Temporary lane closure.

WHEN: Between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily starting Tuesday, May 5, through Friday, May 8.

WHERE: The inside (left) lane of Interstate 55 northbound between the Interstate 220 off-ramp and Old Agency (Exit 105-B) in Madison County.

WHY: The closure is necessary to remove and replace guardrail in the median of I-55 northbound as crews work to complete the I-55 expansion project.
