Arizona Department of Transportation issued the following announcement on May 20.
Commercial Driver License (CDL) holders who may have received a letter from the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division regarding their medical certification status should verify their certification online at azmvdnow.gov.
Because of a computer coding error, some CDL holders erroneously received letters stating their medical certification was no longer valid. In most cases, the certification is still active, and license holders can confirm that status by going to their AZ MVD Now account at azmvdnow.gov.
All current MVD customers have an account and activating it is free and only takes a few minutes. Once in AZ MVD Now, CDL holders should go to the “Driver License & ID” link and then to the “Verify CDL Medical Status” dropdown link. The record on file at AZ MVD Now is the accurate status.
