Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development issued the following announcement on June 5.
The LA 300 (Bayou Road) floodgate near Pilate Lane in St. Bernard Parish will close prior to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, because of Tropical Storm Cristobal.
As an alternate route, drivers can use LA 46.
With the threat of severe weather and heavy rainfall that may impact areas of the state, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) reminds motorists to take extra precautions should traveling be necessary.
