ABF Freights, a company of ArcBest, won the National LTL Carrier of the Year Award for the third consecutive year.

This marks the fifth time that ABF Freight has won the award in the past six years. The other years that ABF Freight received the awards were 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The award, granted by the National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council, was given to ABF Freight during the NASSTRAC Annual Shippers Conference and Transportation Expo, which took place in Orlando, Florida, from April 12 through April 15, 2015.

NASSTRAC created the annual Carrier of the Year Awards Program to recognize and celebrate the carriers that show excellence in their transportation services. Thanks to the program, shippers are better able to identify which carriers are the best in terms of performance and value.

“Being named the 2015 National LTL Carrier of the Year is indeed an honor,” ABF Freight President Tim Thorne said. “Recognition from NASSTRAC is particularly rewarding since this council represents the vitally important voice of shippers. By giving ABF Freight this award, NASSTRAC is honoring employees whose dedication to safety, cargo handling and customer service inspires confidence among customers throughout North America. Our people have earned a reputation as the safest, most conscientious, highly innovative members of our industry, and it’s gratifying to have their efforts once again recognized as exemplary.”
