The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and Iowa Pacific Holdings recently announced that the Hoosier State train traveling between Chicago and Indianapolis will now offer a new, unique service to its business class customers four days each week.

The new service includes alcoholic beverages, table seating, private dome lounge and a hot meal. These features will be available only to business class passengers. The lounge has curved glass windows overhead with a private, ADA-accessible business-class car.

With the new features, the revenue service doubles the optimum seating from 88 passengers to 184. This increase is just in time for the upcoming busy holiday season and fall foliage season.

A breakfast services will be available on the northbound train on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Friday mornings.

Dinner service will be provided on southbound trains on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

All of the hot meals are freshly cooked on board the train and served with real silverware and dishes.

In addition, travelers will be offered a variety of snacks and alcoholic beverages.

Coach passengers will also have access to menu items at additional cost.
