Crews with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will continue paving westbound Interstate 10, from Benson to Tucson, until next week.

The construction zone extends from a mile eastward from Exit 299 for Skyline Road to a mile eastward of Exit 291 for Marsh Station Road. The crews will need to close the westbound ramps for Mescal Road/J-Six Ranch and Skyline interchanges.

The paving work, which is a piece of a project worth $15.1 million, will be done in segments extending for two miles. Each day, the two miles will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Beginning Tuesday, both of the on and off ramps for the westbound route on Skyline Road will be closed. The closure will start at 7 a.m. and end at 7 p.m.
In addition, on Wednesday, the westbound ramps for J-Six and Mescal (Exit 297) will also be closed.

When the ramps are closed, drivers will be able to travel on eastbound I-10 to exit or to enter the areas that are restricted. Drivers must follow the speed limit, which has been decreased to 45 miles per hour within the construction zones.

The work is scheduled to be completed on Dec. 8.
