The Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC), a branch of the American Trucking Associations (ATA) said this week during its annual meeting in Nashville that it has elected Doug White as the council’s 2016-2017 general chairman and treasurer.

White, vice president of maintenance at Dunbar Armored in Hunt Valley, Maryland, succeeds Kevin Tomlinson, director of maintenance at South Shore Transportation in Sandusky, Ohio.

White served as TMC’s 2015-2016 vice chairman and chairman of meetings.

“Doug has been a leader in our council and our industry for many years, and I am pleased that he has been elected to the position of general chairman and treasurer,” Carl Kirk, ATA vice president of maintenance, information technology & logistics and TMC executive director, said.

The TMC is the leading technical society for maintenance professionals and truck-equipment technology in the U.S. Its membership includes service dealers, industry suppliers, equipment managers, manufacturers, owner-operators, academics and educators, among others, who are involved in the trucking industry.

“It is an honor to be named TMC chairman,” White said, “I want to thank my fellow TMC members for the opportunity and thank Kevin for his service to our organization.”
