Bombardier Transportation, a leading rail technology company, said Friday it recently presented two suppliers with 2015 Supplier Sustainability Awards.

The awards, intended to recognize the accomplishments of the suppliers for their sustainability development and their dedication to corporate responsibility, were given to Dellner Couplers AB and Harting KGaA at a presentation in Germany.

Dellner Couplers, which is in the category of suppliers who employ less than 1,000 people, received its award thanks to its formal sustainability approach. The supplier accomplishes this with its targeted policies on ethical and environmental business conduct.

Harting KGaA, in the category of suppliers that employ over 1,000 people, received its award for its excellence throughout all of its sustainability areas, especially fair business practices, labor conditions, the environment and supply chain management.

Bombardier Transportation provides the rail industry with the broadest portfolio for delivering novel services and products revolving around sustainable mobility. It has specially designed Bombardier ECO4 technologies that are engineered for economy, energy, ecology and efficiency.

Bombardier’s competitive advantage is strengthened when services and products that are safe and environmentally aware reach the market. These products and services must also fulfill the company’s changing sustainable business practices, which demonstrates Bombardier’s goal of furthering mobility in a responsible manner.
