The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), a branch of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), recently announced that it has updated its National Transportation Statistics (NTS).

The NTS is an online reference guide that posts reports involving data from national-level transportation in the U.S.

The NTS is updated every quarter. The database includes a variety of information about the U.S. transportation and infrastructure system. It has over 260 tables demonstrating national data for safety, transportation systems, energy, economy, and environment. Of these topics, 45 of them were included in the most recent updates.

The next update for the NTS database is planned to take place during the next quarter in January.

USDOT uses the NTS as a way to measure the strength of domestic transportation and infrastructure, and the impact of these systems on the local as well as national economy. Many experts have reported that U.S. infrastructure and transportation are crucial to the national economy. Many employers and employees use infrastructures to import and export goods, and many people commute to and from work, home, and school using transportation systems, whether private or public.
