Cloud-based management joins transportation sourcing in SciQuest-MercuryGate partnership

Fast-growing MercuryGate will partner with SciQuest Inc. in order to provide MercuryGate customers with advanced transportation sourcing and SciQuest customers with a leading SaaS-based TMS option, it was revealed in Morrisville, N.C., on April 1.

SciQuest’s Vice-President for Business Development Jeremy Becker noted that the two firms complement one another, serving a common customer base. Both companies’ clients are expected to benefit from the partnership, enabling cross-promotion for both enterprises.

“We believe that our partnership will be a fruitful and mutually beneficial one, and we look forward to working with SciQuest customers to help them meet their transportation management needs,” Dan Vertachnik, EVP and chief commercial officer at MercuryGate, said.

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Morrisville, SciQuest offers procurement software and spend analysis; supplier, sourcing, contract and inventory management; as well as accounts payable automation through cloud-based automation solutions. It has offices in Chicago, Ill., Newtown Square, Pa., Pittsburgh, Pa., Houston, Texas, and Edmonton, Alberta.

MercuryGate offers a multi-enterprise, operations-level solution built and designed for the Internet and equipped to deliver a real supply-chain solution to a real logistics problems. The firm is committed to supporting customers’ transportation management needs by blending new technology and real-world dynamics; it also supports community service projects.
