Covenant Transport receives Walmart carrier of the year award

Covenant Transport on Thursday received the 2014 Walmart Strength Through Partnership Carrier of the Year award for its effective communication, dedication to customer service, and innovative maneuvers in an industry that is always changing.

“Covenant Transport has consistently provided Walmart with exceptional service, maintained excellent safety standards, and is a foremost leader in the transportation industry,” Walmart said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing to grow our transportation alliance.”

“Covenant Transport is extremely honored to be chosen as Walmart’s Strength Through Partnership Carrier of the Year,” chief operations officer Sam Hough said. “This honor is indicative of the true partnership between our two companies that will, hopefully, continue long into the future.”

Covenant Transport, a branch of Covenant Transportation Group, Inc., a holding company that has offered customers transportation resources for several years from its hubs in Tennessee and Arkansas, is one of North America’s 15 largest fleets as determined by revenue.
